Move your website to Hartwell
A safe way to move a website and email without downtime.
- Make a full backup of your current files and databases and keep it somewhere safe.
- Upload the files to your Hartwell hosting and import the database. Update the database name, user and password in your configuration.
- Test the site before changing DNS, by checking the pages and forms.
- Lower your domain TTL a day ahead if you can, then point your domain at Hartwell.
- Recreate your email accounts and re-add any forwarders. Keep the old host until you confirm everything works.
